Nayiba and Carlos are a Venezuelan couple who immigrated to the United States and, from the moment they arrived, decided to adopt a vegan eating style driven by the desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle free of animal cruelty.
Nayiba's passion for cooking led her to devise vegan dishes for their family's consumption, and as they moved away from animal-based foods, they noticed that the vegan cheeses, hams and chickens on the market were missing something important.
Nayiba made artisanal cheeses to consume at home and, in sharing them with friends, found that they were more receptive than expected.
